about this project

Providing voluntary sector groups in Wrexham with free access to local, impartial energy and construction experts for reliable guidance on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and cost savings.

We will provide guidance to help you understand where you and your community building is at and where you should focus to implement sustainable practices, renewable upgrades and cost savings effectively.

Our reports can help boost your application for capital funds to improve community buildings.

We’ll also provide training for you and your beneficiaries on carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon literacy. This will help you move forward with greater confidence.

We aim to help community groups thrive by reducing carbon and energy costs. We promote realistic and viable practices and opportunities to upgrade your buildings that cut costs, lower carbon emissions, conserve resources, and create a sustainable community for future generations

Aims of our Wrexham Energy Action  project:

Cost Efficiency:

A key objective is to help community organisations significantly reduce their operational costs. By recommending realistic and viable energy-efficient measures, renewable energy options, and sustainable practices, we aim to enhance their financial sustainability.

Carbon Reduction:

We seek to educate and equip community organisations in Wrexham to lower their carbon footprints, aligning with local, regional, and national environmental goals and contributing to the global effort against climate change.

Community Engagement:

Active community engagement is at the heart of our project. We encourage community members and organisations to participate in sustainability initiatives, and a sense of shared responsibility and collective action.

Renewable Energy Awareness:

Promoting awareness and understanding of renewable energy sources is a critical component of our initiative. We aim to encourage the adoption of these sources for a more sustainable energy future.

Local Building Improvement:

Our project includes feasibility studies aimed at improving local community buildings, creating more comfortable and energy-efficient spaces for community activities.

Capacity Building:

Through training and educational resources, we build local capacity in sustainable practices. This empowers community leaders and members to drive ongoing sustainability efforts.
